For generations, Kerala kitchens woke up to the rhythm of the arakallu. We exist to keep that taste alive.
Swamy's started its culinary journey from Vaikom, situated in the northwest of Kottayam district in the state of Kerala, India. The town is noted for its role in the Indian independence movement as the venue of the Vaikom Satyagraha, a civil rights movement aimed at securing freedom of movement for all sections of society through the public roads leading to the famous Shiva temple here.
Good, unpretentious food with minimum fuss and original ingredients - that's what makes Swamy's food products unique and brings a nostalgic taste to your taste buds. Purity and quality is at the heart of what we do.
We can't imagine doing anything more gratifying than bringing the same good old batter mix taste as made from “arakallu” (the traditional grinder) used in ancient Kerala homes.
Original ingredients, nothing artificial, and a stringent quality check before anything is packed.
We grind the way it was always done, so every bite carries the memory of a Kerala home.
From the families we feed to the farmers we source from, we build relationships that last.
Swamy's Food Products is founded in Vaikom with a single goal - recreate the authentic arakallu batter taste of old Kerala homes.
Our idli/dosa and appam batters reach local kitchens and quickly become a household trust mark for purity.
Ada dosa batter and fresh chapathi join the family, bringing wholesome variety to everyday meals.
A widening network of stockists carries Swamy's from Vaikom to Kottayam, Ernakulam and beyond.
More products, more homes - but the same stone-ground purity and the same nostalgic taste we started with.
“We make every pack the way we'd make it for our own family - with patience, with stone, and with no shortcuts. That is the only promise we know how to keep.”
